I just saw a tweet by a former NBA coach who wrote:
"... champions see challenges for their unpredictability and hardships that come their way, and their inner voice says, 'OK. Time to get going!' "
Of course this is the IDEAL. But I believe that most of us don't exactly come by this quality naturally.
So on a scale of 1 - 10 how much of this quality do YOU show in the toughest times?
The idea behind Mental Coaching is to help those of us who are TYPICAL rather than EXCEPTIONAL to increase our mental toughness in such situations NOT to a 10 but at least by 1 or 2 points further up the scale.
To me, THAT is what being a CHAMPION means... doing what DOESN'T come naturally.
Your thoughts?
